Entering the control room Colonel Laverick made her way over to the control console and checked the readouts. 'Are we ready for the demo Sgt.?' She asked

'Yes Colonel. I'm just about to move the camera into position. Would you like to do the honors Ma'am?'

The Colonel sat down at the console and placing her hands on the controls and watched through the window as the camera maneuvered into position just in front of the rotating gyro sphere that contained the black hole. Locking the camera into place she stood up and turned to the Sgt. 'Well here goes nothing. Release it on my signal Sgt.'

'Yes Ma'am.'

'And will you stop calling me that.'

'Sorry Colonel it's just habit.'

'That OK, its just that I hate that word.' She said before turning back towards the stairs and ascending back into the briefing room to explain the next stage to her guests.

The three officers unaware of Colonel Laverick reentering the room were looking out of the viewing window, pointing at the object and talking amongst themselves. 'She's mad. Time Travel Possible, who's she kidding. It's just a load of old...'

'Bull' Colonel Laverick said cutting the speaker off and finishing his sentence. 'So you think I'm making all this up?'

'W-w-w' the speaker tried to reply but could not get his word out.

'I assure you that I'm not wasting your time and what your about to witness will be a major breakthrough for the military and science in general.' she said before taking a breath and continuing. 'Please watch the rest of the demonstration on the screen's on the table.' she finished gesturing the group to retake their seats.

Once everyone was seated Colonel Laverick gave the order to release the camera. The group watched in amazement as the image changed from that of the black hole to one of devastation in what looked like war time France.

'What the hell.' The speaker from before said as he looked on as a group of soldiers dressed in World War 2 British army uniforms came into view.'

'That actually should be 'When the Hell. I've just sent the camera into France during World War 2 and that unit up ahead is I believe is part of 14th battalion Prince of Wales, my Grandfathers unit.' The colonel replied before contacting the control room again 'OK sarge pull it back and close it up we don't want Joe and his colleagues seeing it do we.'

Within a minute the camera was back and the worm hole closed.

'Come on Colonel you don't expect us to believe you sent that camera back in time do you?'
