Springtide Celebration
The morning sunlight peeks among the trees. The woodlands shiver, then begin to preen. The limber branches dally with the breeze As budding leaves choose partners yet unseen. Then suddenly, the Forest Queen appears. She nods her head; the festive gala starts With dancing to the music of the spheres. The sounds and rhythms heard within their hearts. They dance in equal times, through night and day. Their celebration has no need for clocks. The creatures whirl and wing, the timbers sway. For now has come the Vernal Equinox. This frolic starts the season on its flight. Tomorrow’s longer day brings shorter night. Form: Shakespearean sonnet abab cdcd efef gg
