MAY YOU NEVER HAVE ANY SORROW AND PAIN

May you never have any sorrow and pain
And suffer you never your love’s disdain
And the aches, and pains and the pangs of love
May never they drive your soul insane

And may your heart does never bleed
And feel it never a lover’s need
And the fear and dread of a failing love
To gloom and doom may it never lead

May you never experience the dreadful bite
Of the loss of spring and the winter’s blight
And when deprived of the warmth of love
May never you fear the darkness of night

And may you never long for the care
Of a man who loves your face so fair
And may you never feel the need
And may you never become aware

Of the eye that waits and waits for you
Of the heart that cannot without you do

                    Urdu Poem

        KHUDA WO WAQT NA LAAY

Khuda wo waqt na laay keh soagwaar ho too
Sukoun ki neend tujhay bhee haraam ho jaay
Teri musarrat paiham tamaam ho jaay
Teri hayaat tujhay talkh jaam ho jaay

Ghamoun say aaiena e dil gudaaz ho taera

Hujoom e yaas say baitaab ho kay reh jaay
Wafoor e dard say seemaab ho kay reh jaay
Tera shabaab faqat khaab ho kay reh jaay

Ghuroor e husn saraapa niaaz ho taera

Taweel raatoun maen too bhee qaraar ko tersay
Teri nigaah kisi ghamgusaar ko tersay
Khizaanraseeda tamanna bahaar ko tersay

Koie jabeen na teray sang e aastaan pay jhukay

Keh jins e ijz o aqeedat say tujh ko shaad keray
Faraib e waada e farda pay aitamaad keray
Khuda o wo wagt na laay keh tujh ko yaad aa'ay

Wo dil jo taeray liay baiqarrar ab bhee hay
Wo aankh jis ko tera intazaar ab bhee hay
