ONE MORE MEMORY

I awoke this morning with a dream on my mind,

I think it's lost forever, a thing I'll never find,

It seems I used to remember an awful lot

but now brains got old, my remember is all shot.

One more memory is all I really and truly think I need,
I think that might do the trick, plant a brand new seed,
From that seed something would grow that all could see,
A stranger there among them with one more memory...

I can't remember any dreams that I have at night

and I used to; I swear all of them - just right.

Can't remember now just where I parked my truck

and that, for a cowboy is more than just bad luck.

One more memory is all I really and truly think I need,
I think that might do the trick, plant a brand new seed,
from that seed something would grow that all could see,
A stranger there among them with one more memory...

Now where did I leave my jug? Know I need a drink.

I know where I left it, now I'm beginning to think,

Same place I parked my rig, under the front seat,

That was more than a mile away over on Cherry street.

One more memory is all I really and truly think I need,
I think that might do the trick, plant a brand new seed,
from that seed something would grow that all could see,
A stranger there among them with one more memory...
