It is an understatement
That my home's not clutter-free. Sometime ago, I asked a friend If he could come help me To do some rearranging-- (As in what was here goes there). Was specific with the furniture-- With the bags I didn't care Just so long as they weren't in my way To make me take a fall. What was in those bags? A bit of this. A bit of that. That's all. When I got my sunroom finished, At that time, I'd transport Those bags into that area Where I'd begin to sort. But things don't always go as planned, And my sunroom got delayed. Therefore, those bags and bags and bags Plus some boxes are displayed In stacks and piles of varied height All around and here and there. I'll start to sort them where they are Before saying, "I don't care!" One thing that motivates me To move them from there to here Is hoping that my lost remote Will suddenly appear. But I've forgotten where my friend Moved the box containing it. I believe it's in the southwest pile, So, I've dug through there a bit. But it's possible that it's north of there Or beneath that great big pile Collected on my bed's north side-- But, at least, I still can smile, Since the TV's set to Hallmark With its 24 hours of great Variety of programs To which I can relate. Someday soon, I'll have more room to sort And will, once more, have in hand My means to change the channel At my fingertip's command. Then, I'll have back my TCM, Twilight Zone, and Oprah's O; My local news, CNN's views; TLC, HBO, And all the other channels Made available to me-- Though the shows I watch on Hallmark Will still grab me frequently. For now, however, I'm content To where I hardly care That my means to change the channel Is now neither here nor there!
