Bad Things I Did as a Kid

1) Went bike riding while my parents were at work after I was told to stay home (I flipped over the handlebars of my bike and called my mom at work to convince her to let me go so I wouldn’t get in trouble for going without her permission)

2) Skipped the Homecoming pep-rally in my sophomore year of high school to protest the school not giving enough credit to academic achievers and went to a “party” instead. I got caught and never told my dad. I did my in-school suspension and walked home (several miles) after school for 3 days so he wouldn’t know.

3) Convinced a younger kid on my school bus that his parents weren’t really his parents by telling him he was too young to remember being born, so he really couldn’t say for sure that they were his actual parents (wow. That was pretty mean. The poor kid was traumatized!)

4) Skipped school to babysit my niece when I was in high school and forged a note to the school that I had an orthodontist appointment and would be out of school most of the day.

5) Crawled out of the window of my Spanish class and jumped onto the top of a friends’ truck (from the second story window) to skip the rest of the day of school. Got caught for that one, too… 3 more days of walking home after detention my sophomore year of high school.)
