The Star


There once was a star in space,

Who had such a beautiful face.

But she lost all her light,

Oh it was such a sight,

& now she is gone without a trace.



The Rain Man


There once was a man whose insane,

He went without a coat in the rain.

He tried to go from the car,

But sadly it was too far,

Now he’s all wet in the rain.



The Tarot Teller


There once was a reader of tarots,

Who was sane as a flock of parrots.

She tried to read every card,

But it was so hard,

& all she predicted was carrots.

There once was a scholar from Athens,

Who had a schedule made of math the.

He wanted to be,

An athlete you see,

But now he’s still a scholar in Athens.



The Golden Knight


There once was a golden knight,

Whose armor was blinding on sight.

He tried to polish & clean,

To increase the sheen,

& now you can see him at night.



{i}center}The Golden Scarab{/center{/i}

There once was a golden Scarab in the sand,

Who came from a vast dessert land.

Then there come the earthquake & flood,

& the scarab drowned with a thud.

& it’s thanks to the god & his hand



O’Riley & the Spool


They say old O’Riley was a fool,

For trying to sell a used spindle & spool.

As he tried to find it’s new use,

The spool faced terror & abuse,

& now O’Riley is still played by the Fool.



Old Zack & the Dime


`They said old Zack was dense,

For trying to pay off his rent with 10 cents.

Now he pleaded & paid,

But as the youngins once said,

We only take 5 dollars or pence.



`The Fairy & the Twits


A fairy had a thought with her wits,

For fun try to fool with some twits,

As they battled about,

Her big secret got out,

& now she’s all alone without twits.



The Toucan


There once was a flying toucan in Brazil,

Who wouldn’t fly down until.

He could get his tasty grubs,

But alas now it is only stubs,

So now he can’t get his fill.



The Green Lizard


There once was a jungle with green lizard,

Who was caught in a terrible blizzard.

He tried to run to heat up his scales,

But alas it soon fails,

& that moment he meets a young wizard.



The Monster’s Bride


There once was monster under the bed,

Who dreamed his love once said.

That she loved him to the bottom of their hearts,

& that their love will just starts,

But alas they can never be wed.



The Golden Drachma (Greek silver or gold coin)


There once was a man with a golden coin,

Who bought himself a cloth of the loin.

He tried it on out,

But alas he had to pout,

Because the sides of the cloth couldn’t join.



The Blowfish


There once was a blue blowfish,

Who had nothing to do but go fish?

He tried to get the big catch with good bait,

But alas it couldn’t sedate,

His huge stomach which still had no fish.
