Poem for Uncle Tom

In our hearts and in our minds,
Now and forever in this rhyme.
Hear me now gods of old,
Stay with this man till his time is sold.
Heal the hearts of those who hear,
This rhyme of Tom by their ear.
The man who loved to sing and play,
Let him rest, take his pain away.
We will love him forever,
And forget him we will never.

Thank you for reading the poem I wrote for my Uncle. I was unable to be there, so I wrote what came to my heart. I don't want any ratings, and I don't really need advice on how to change it or make it better. It is staying how it is because that's what flowed from my heart while I was in pain from the loss. So if you do decide to email then please be gentle. Thank you.
