RECALCULATED GLOW

Until the moon’s new calendar, we really couldn’t know
what it would mean to all of us to let our time-sense go
into a Lunar overdrive, forsaking solar time—
even our birthday’s date has changed to when a new clock’s chimed!

With re-align to lunar time, our special day’s deranged;
we must now acclimate ourselves to new ways our time’s changed!
No more can we full-celebrate the birthday of our youth,
And when we’re telling age, no one will ever guess the truth!

This new scheme, using quarter moons, will make us pretend young!
No one will know our honest age until our last bell’s rung!
This situation has made us recalculate the glow
and pace of ancient lunar time, to new historic woe!
