This was my final “Good-bye.”
And I meant it!
Yet you keep calling
to hear me say “Hello.”
I’ve thrown away your junk,
and I’ve met a new hunk.
And your cell phone
won’t see my texting any more.
There were days when tear tracks
messed up my make-up.
I wonder what word I said,
to make you mad.
Now life’s better
and I don’t need your painful silence,
because where there is love,
my heart will sing songs
worth more than gold.
