RISK TAKIN', HEART BREAKIN' LOVER
I knew the day I met him he was one of a kind, just the kind of man who'd stay on my mind. Tall, dark and handsome, a man of my dreams, brown eyes smilin' back at me, and so it seems That he was a risk takin', heart breakin' lover, I will tell you that I should have run for cover. He had a swagger in his walk and a will to survive, he always rode the broncs and bulls, stayin' alive. The rodeo circuit brings out the best in men, they can be thrown off and then get up again. Just a few broken ribs won't stop him at all, and it's pretty easy for a lonely cowgirl to fall. He was a risk takin', heart breakin' lover, I will tell you that I should have run for cover. He never showed any fear and made it clear that he loved his life and the crowd's cheer. When he held me in his arms, I was soon lost, in a world of wonder, but I didn't know the cost. I didn't think he'd leave me, thought he was true, then the rodeo called him, and we were through. He was just a risk takin', heart breakin' lover, I will tell you that I should have run for cover. He had a swagger in his walk and a will to survive, he always rode the broncs and bulls, stayin' alive. Now I clearly see that love was his biggest risk, he just had to ride away after he'd been kissed. He'd climb up to the chute and sit atop a horse, and when it came to leavin', he felt no remorse. He can't be thrown or tied down by a cowgirl, though he didn't mind giving love a little whirl. He'll always be a risk takin', heart breakin' man, who will keep on ridin', just as long as he can. He was just a risk takin', heart breakin' lover, I will tell you that I should have run for cover. He had a swagger in his walk and a will to survive, he always rode the broncs and bulls, stayin' alive. Countrymom 3/6/11
