Cramp prompt: Write a story or poem in honor of Bobby Bare, country singer. Use the following words: “Gotta travel on”, Abilene, Houston, Detroit City and Interstate 90”
** #1766578 Not An Image ** “Gotta Git Back to My Gypsy!” Gotta git back to my Gypsy, I GOTTA TRAVEL ON. She's in our caravan down in ABILENE And I’m a far, far way from home. She called me on her telee phone And told me what was what… If I don’t git back there pretty soon, I’ll be wishin' I had not ! I’m gonna take INTERSTATE 90 And mash my pedal through. Gonna scoot from Seattle, Washington And make it a straight line too. Gonna fly my pickup over HOUSTON Like it weren’t even there! Cause I yearn to see my Gypsy girl With all that flamin' red hair! Now, it's through old DETROIT CITY Without a care for that world. For I'm runnin' back to my sweet pretty, Cause she’s my Gypsy girl!
