Oh to cry the rain away time to visit the zoo with Mom so sad, holding my hand it's not such a shame to see her in pain again, Dad so far away at war her memory fading the family reunion, with a folded flag brave he died alone in the urn on the mantle. My memory so alive seeing baby apes jumping for joy, Dad in a circle there in the zoo laughing tears of joy, Mom imitating them a barking sound running away, behind the tree seeing squirrels following her that day. The rain my reminder to say I love her with tears of joy, come what may all our tomorrows Dad waiting in heaven -
