Good vs. Evil
Rated: 18+ | Poetry | Dark | #1766686
Who wins this time?
Snuggle deep in bed, my little one,

thinking of the great things you’ve done.

But now it is your time to pay

for the good deeds performed today.

Angelic smile shall be erased

as twitches of terror take its place.

Centipedes traverse your skin,

open your soul, dear; let them in.

Scorpion’s poison through your veins

into your heart where demons reign.

Shhh, come with us, give in to sin,

Devil’s glory your prize to win.

Scaly snakes hiss, curled by your side

like a lover you cannot hide.

Spider’s trace delicate features,

“Give in, give in,” chant the creatures.

This is no dream, you shall not wake.

My precious child, do not forsake

the ones that come here while you sleep,

for it’s your spirit we shall keep.

Filled with venom, darkness, and gore,

your flesh we'll seek forevermore.

Evil wins over good this time,

because my angel, you are mine.
