Lovers Landing upon the Moon Colored ribbons across the sky, silhouettes against the sunset, lovers landing upon the moon, stolen moments with no regret. Southern Comfort, sweet magnolia, hearts beat, beat, beating like a drum. Gazing deep in eyes of wonder forecast promises yet to come. Starlight, star bright wish the lovers that this night may last forever. Pledged their love, each to the other, dreams unite, diminish never. Celestial songs serenade us, orchestras from heaven above. Constellations come together to celebrate our night of love. Heady scents of summer sweetness, honeysuckle, crimson clover. Emotions fired overwhelm us, rendezvous is nearly over. Beams of sunrise start to flicker. Petals are laced with drops of dew. Time to wake and face our future, end this night for me and you. 01 May, 2011
