"My Fear of Failure"
His heart so sad he formed life on earth, my fear of failure.

Night the light my dream in fright

staggered rocks in a sea of foam

wandering in the wilderness,

seven heads of mountains

boulders golden brown

my home of fear,

the mystery

of the sea

bottomless.

Within wisdom

every island fled away

great hail out of heaven,

the weary weight of God

the plague exceeding great

his heart so sad he formed life,

evil these deeds of man on earth

where to now I bowed my knee

his mercy I begged from him,

and heard his voice

silent now.

My tears I wept

please forgive me

the devil in me a cross,

dying lonely from a spear

blood and wine pouring down

washing away my fear of failure,

will I rise in faith living a new life

praising your name in heaven?

Yes! His blessed answer

holding my hands

in prayer.

“Ask yourself

will you confess

in the deepest hour,

looking into your heart

where the fear is formed.

Then I will hold you tight

living life anew in faith,

spreading my roots

of eternal love.”
