Final Moments
A poem about the final moments of one's life and the journey through death and dying |
| Each of us is given a life, In which we have control. At the end there comes a time, When we give up our own soul. There’s no pain or suffering, That can take away the fear. The fear that’s in each of us, When our time is drawing near. There’s this sharp, internal pain, To remind us loud and clear. To say our last “goodbyes”, To those we consider dear. It seems we always miss, The people that we love. If we look up in the sky, They’re watching from above. God promised he’d be waiting, To judge on Judgment Day. You truly must believe in Him, or you’ll be going the other way. In our last and final moments, We’ll see our families again. Reunite in peace and love, Until our life on earth ends. Once your life is over, and you’re forgiven for your sins. God’s angels will take you home, Where eternal life begins. |
