weight of words
were only I to hear ~

who can understand
stillness bears the weight of words
places used to be
sweetest songs
I never heard
swelled to fill each page
took for lines this meager verse
kept the tongue from telling
other melodies rehearsed

*Bird*

days beget ten thousand suns
thoughts within them sealed
worlds begin and end in time
words made flesh revealed

to eyes beholding truth unscathed
when love was left at heavens gate
took the road into the night
discovered destiny or fate

*Bird*

no more or less
was right made wrong
or hell for heaven trade
was dark alone when light was come
for souls bent unafraid

loving words still echo home
returned as truth we swore
held to more than promises
were ways we walked before

no more or less
was right made wrong
or hell for heaven trade
was dark alone when light was come
for souls bent unafraid

to paths of fate
and halls to where
a destiny need never know
silence haunts the lowly heart
with dreams too dear
to hold
