Prompts:From a Mile Away
Light Without Dark (used this prompt) Silence Has a Sound A Lifetime to Realize Hard to Remember Who I Am What Good is Supposed to Be Traced in Constellations What You Choose to Remember I am a sinner saved by grace; A foreigner in this earthly place. My Savior died that I might be With Him for all eternity. I long for my Heavenly home To be at rest, no more to roam After the setting of the sun. 'Til then, I'll praise Him in all things, No matter what this earth-life brings; Give thanks to Him every day Whenever I will pause to pray. I've vowed to walk right by His side, Although at times, I did backslide To a life that I declared was done. No perfect saint, I'm just a man Trying to live the best I can; To love my neighbor as He said To share His Holy word instead Of lapsing back to my old ways. I find that now I spend my days Pursuing Christ, the Holy One. His grace extends to all you see, For when Jesus died on Calvary He died that all men would be free. His red blood covered you and me. He foresaw Satan's many tries To tempt the world with tricks and lies To turn souls away from the Son. Christ, light without dark, free from sin, He died and rose to live again. He will return one day, I know, To gather those who love Him so To live with Him eternally In complete peace and harmony When the final victory's won. 35 lines
