It's finally spring, or so I've been told.
It's finally warm! Good-bye to the cold! Bright flowers are blooming everywhere. Their scent is now wafting through the warm air. Green leaves are bursting from dormant trees. I hear birds singing and buzzing of bees. The sky above me is robin's egg blue With puffy white clouds that are drifting through. Butterflies flitter their wings as they dance, To the strands of a waltz or a tango perchance. Brass bands of bullfrogs, accompanied in song By the humming and chirping of a massive bug throng. Hummingbirds sipping from blossom to bloom; Seeking sweet nectar, they zip and they zoom. The dusk brings fireflies to pinpoint the night. Their beacons blink off and on with bright light. Budding plants peek forth from furrows of ground. Pastures of grassland, now green, does abound. The earth around you puts on a display. Magnificent garb! A wondrous array! Beautiful springtime! The earth is reborn. Gone is the winter so cold and forlorn. Welcome the loveliness these bright days bring; Say with a flourish, "It's finally spring!" 24 lines
