Prompt: Midnight Hero
Monsters in my bedroom Underneath my bed They're lurking 'neath my mattress I'm filled with so much dread! I'm too scared to get up And run across the room. I know that if I try it, It will surely mean my doom. My voice has gone in hiding It 's just a tiny squeak. These monsters really know how To make you feel so weak. I'm terrified to do much More than shake with fear 'Cause monsters' ears are sharp and I know that they will hear. Then suddenly he enters Through my closed bedroom door And monsters flee before him, This champion that I adore. He sees that I am frightened, This beloved Midnight Hero, He calms my fears and dries my tears; My dad, I love him so. 24 lines
