whispers
a wink of pine ~ [wip]

                   a slant of board
                   a breadth of pine
                   where once the partners parted
                   waltz to walls
                   a marble rolled
                   before the game
                   we started

                   weave and want
                   a step and back
two and forward now to one
                   places warmed to our embrace
                   now shine beneath the sun
                   when comes the morning
                   with her brush
                   each spirit to arouse
                   remembers this
                   the dance we loved

                   (I hear the music now)

                   where once were walls
                   a favored song
                   gets clearer every day
                   strains to boards
                   of slanted pine
                   where once we swirled
                   and swayed
