A poem about a woman who is the center of her family. First draft.

My mum is like a spider
in the centre of her web,
spinning silken threads which
bind her children to her and to each other.

She possesses the knowledge
that they and she care
for each individual member.

She gathers her descendants around her
and spreads good news and family memories.
