Believing
there's so much to say [wip]

There's a vow that breaks
when the well runs dry,
a cloudy day rolled against
a sunny sky.
I've been this way
and know how it can go.
There's the best you are -
the best you'll ever know.

There's love
when nothing matters
but one more day -
a song (no one remembers)
steals your breath away.

What an odd report
from this ancient soul -
there's so much you keep
believing,
you may never hold.
Might a lifetime pass
before the one you trust,
the same as blood
to water -
as rain to rust.

When something stirs
as shadows to the light -
stumbled (humbled)
pressed into the night.
Was your name just called
(you know you heard it clear)

What spirits came to tell you
of love so dear.

Will keep you safe
from losing -
tossed (by life) about
when the darkness dawns
and every drop of hope spills out.

I can't say much
of lessons
you won't learn in time -
what roads ahead (already)
have left you far behind.
Maybe this I've come
a long forgotten dream -
what breath is worth
defending
for the veils between?

For the times assured
you'll worry for this choice,
was brought you here
and then you'll hear
a voice.
From another place
forgotten (until now)
reminding you of love
tho you don't know why
(or how).

There was a different you
(waiting)
cared enough to come -
fragile fell as drops into the well
light beyond the light
(another sun).
