I Found Love In My Heart Today
I've been alone so long. But today, I looked in my heart, and found love there.

I Found Love In My Heart Today

I found love in my heart today
It arrived unexpectedly, but in the usual way
I’d lost the feeling of love long before
It left that night she walked out the door

I found love in my heart today
I never thought it would return to stay
It was there, where before a void had been,
Filling an emptiness, once again

I found love in my heart today
It was there one minute, and never went away
When I looked to see why it had come to me
I found no reason, other than to live blissfully

I found love in my heart today
It was as if it had never gone astray,
The beautiful message it said to me
Was be happy, in love and so carefree

I found love in my heart today
And wondered why me?  For my love was in decay
But all it wanted was to bring me cheer
Love had found me, someone new held me dear

I found love in my heart today
Out of the blue it grabbed me and said, "Hooray!"
I wondered why I should get this boon
Of love; I swear, much more and I’d swoon

I found love in my heart today
Thank you my love; you are here, please stay
I hope that love never leaves me again
I’m happy and in love, now a whole man

I found love in my heart today
I couldn’t believe it!  Loneliness was swept away
I’m in love once more, after feeling so blue
And all of this, is because I met you
