ONE DAY I WILL BE NO MORE

One day I will be no more,
My essence will be there.
My body will decay but
Thoughts would be everywhere.

My feelings are such that they
Touch a chord in all hearts.
It is with a feeling that
Often a poem starts.

My poems may outlast me,
They may perish with time.
I hope they fill tender hearts
With emotions sublime.

When He calls me unto Him,
Demands what I did do.
I would say I brought out tears
That in the hearts did brew.

Having brought out tears I did
Help those hearts be tranquil.
Pain must be brought out before
The hearts, with joy, do fill.
