Ailments Assail

An Acrostic for Rhonda and others

Ailments come in ones life.
Into any given day can there come strife.
Life, you can safely say, is both good and bad.
Many times there is conflict, and you are happy or sad.
Even when things appear fine on the surface,
'Neath that thin layer more sturggle one could face.
There appears to be no hope, no solace, no peace.
Swooping in from the heavenly realms, our sins He does erase.

Ailments come in our lives,
Struggles threaten to unseat our calm.
Strength becomes weakness and confidence fades.
All again seems dark, hopeless, uncontrollable.
In times such as these, one must decide, "how to handle."
Let the struggle win or overcome and know that ailments assail our earthly flesh, but that which cannot harm the spirit within can be overcome.

God the Father so loved us that He gave His only begotten Son, so that if any would believe surely they would not be condemned but saved from their sins. (John 3:16)
"Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the spirit; but rather fear Him who is able to kill both soul an body in hell."  Matthew 10:28 (NIV),
