"Forgiven Under The Stars"

Floating away into space, far from the earth's shattered fragments.
The moon was hanging full

hazy beneath the horizon

floating away into space,

there across the heavens

magnified a revolving light,

becoming like a shadow

I could almost touch it.

A signpost to the sea

in crystalline waters,

the natural color

reflecting upwards,

the crescent moon

shining it’s light on me

sitting in my courtyard,

a stargazer in holy faith

searching for the truth.

My life the lonely man

seeing our world dying,

atom bombs exploding

beneath a black moon,

one by one the stars

fading from sight

there into heaven.

Shining a life for me

praying for lost souls

before the gate closes,

how about you a friend

not too late to be saved,

God is calling you home

the perfect dome above,

angels dancing with you

forgiven under the stars.
