Love Held Firmly
A poem about love and how precious it is

Love held firmly in my hands,
too delicate to touch.
My heart’s been broken many times,
which weighs on me too much.

A love that’s true and sacred,
means more than anything.
There's a spark that ignites my fire,
and a melody that I sing.

Love is special and surreal,
and is bigger than my hands.
My heart is waiting for that someone,
to make better who I am.

Love held firmly in my hands,
is both fragile and sensitive.
It grows and changes every day,
with a reason to want to live.

My palms are open needing love,
to fill my own emptiness.
A unity in peace and harmony,
to help me feel my best.

My palms are slowly closing now,
without a connection made.
Love will happen when it’s time,
for it never dies or fades.

Some day soon I’ll find the one,
it just will not be today.
Love held firmly in my hands,
will one day stop and stay.
