DEAL ME A WINNING HAND
An old cowpoke went riding in to the town, head was bowed, you could see he's down on his luck and feeling that he'd never win, but one more time, he'd try to win again! The game was Blackjack, he knew it well. He'd played it many times on his way to Hell, sitting in jail for a crime he''d committed, he thought he'd never ever be outwitted - But the cards were stacked, he was sure. Couldn't take the pain of losing any more, so he pulled his gun and began to shoot. Many went to the Hill that they called Boot. Someone shot back and hit the mark, the cowpoke knew, when all went dark, that he was a goner, sure enough - Life was hard, but he'd been tough... As he fell to the flow they heard him cry "Just wanted a winning hand 'fore I die. A chance to live a better kind of life - a chance to go home to a lovin' wife." "Deal me a wining hand.all I ask of you, Just one time 'fore I die, least you can do!" The cards were dealt one last time for him and Aces proved that he would finally win. The moral of this song is simply that you can't depend on cards to see you through. Just so you know and that you understand - 'Fore I die, all I want a winning hand. Countrymom 6/16/11
