                                      Ghazal 248


Persain:  Gul raseed o her kasay soo e gulistaan meerawad
              Dar chamanha her taraf sarv e kharaamaan meerawad
Urdu:      Fasl e gul maen jo her ik soo e gulistaan jaay hay
              Daekhnay ko wo mera sarv e kharaamaan jaay hay

English:=== With flowers, they say, they want to be
                  But they go to the garden their gal to see
                                                -

Persian:  Aashiqaan giryaan o mast e ma keh noashash baad mai
              Mai ba kuff soo e chaman dar ain e baaraan meerawad
Urdu:      Aashiqaan giryaan o yar e mast e mun ghamzakunaan
              Mai ba kuff soo e chaman dar ain e baaraan jaay hay

English:=== Where, when they see her taking a stroll
                  On their loving hearts they lose control
                                                  -

Persian:  Kori e aan deeda e mehroom, baaz aan naazneen
              Bar bisaat e nargis e tar mast o ghaltaan meerawad
Urdu:      Daekh too aey deeda e mehroom kaisay gul mera
              Bar bisaat e nargis e tar mast o ghaltaan jaay hay

English:=== So among the flowers when she takes a walk
                  They all sit there and gawk and gawk
                                                  -

Persian:  Ger chaman khaahi o firdous, einak einak soo e doast
              Khalq e aawaara kuja dar baagh o bustaan meerawad
Urdu:      Roza e firdous jab hay koocha e dildaar maen
              Khalq e aawaara yeh kuin dar baagh o bustaan jaay hay

English:=== And when she's there, it looks so nice
                  That they say by God it's paradise
                                                    -

Persian:  Aey keh saamaan jooie az mun, kay bawad saabitqadam
              Mast e baichaara keh pa e o pareeshaan meerawad
Urdu:      Kis terheh saabitqadam ho raah e ulfat maen teri
              Mast e baichaara keh jo ghaltaan o laghzaan jaay hay
     
English:=== And they find themselves in such a state
                  That they try and cannot walk straight
                                                    -

Persian:  KHUSRAVA dar khaak aasaani tapeedan dour neest
              Hast dushwaar aan keh o az dil na aasaan meerawad
Urdu:      Mushkilaen gercheh bohat KHUSRO haen raah e ishq maen
              Aakhiran aashiq ki her mushkil ho aasaan jaay hay

English:=== Yes, KHUSRO, it sounds rather bizarre
