Mr. Moore's Grapes

"Let it rain let it pour nobody cares but old man Moore".

On the fence he grows his precious grapes.
Then he will stomp them as long as it takes.
He will make his wine sweet and truly fine.
So he can drink it and have a very good time.

My friend and I crawled to the fence of vines.
To sample the grapes that made all his wine.
I am sure if he knew we were sneaking there.
He'd get his gun and wait in his rocking chair.

He's very old and slow but his shotgun is fast.
I don't want to feel a buckshot from it's blast.
Someday when the nerve beckons for me.
I'll steal some grapes to stomp them and see.

To see If his beverage is as potent as I think.
If the grapes test proves a very strong drink.
I will grow grapes on the fence in my yard.
Sit with my shotgun my grapes I will guard.
