I'm Charmaine Rose P. Ocampo. I'm a student at San Diego Job Corps
Center. I'm taking CNA(Certified Nursing Assistant) and currently
employed at Honeybee Food Corporation. As s student I feel comfortable
searching, accessing, researching information on the internet because
it helps me on our projects or assignment. Sending some email
attachment is easy for me. When you are applying for a job you just
gonna send the resume through gmail. However, some of employer doesn't
read it or they just leave those resume in their email. I feel
frustrated when doing things about applying in online job. Because I
need to fill up those application form that sometimes it takes so long
for me to be done. I hate it specially when your internet is losing.
Knowing some basic computer skills is too important. You wanna know
why? because it helps you to use the computer easily. Some of the
computer skills are using mouse, operating the computer, how to save
files, and typing in the keyboard. Google is for research some places,
photos, news, videos and more. It is also use for personal sending
messages. I have a different learning style. Those are watching
demostration video, read a book, and go to some of a voluntary
program. I can use those learning style to be more confident and
comfortable. This could help me to advance training. And give me some
ideas about my trade. Career and personal planning is one of my
beneficial standard  for my success because while I am still young I
need to have some plans for future. I have to think what's best for
me. Second is personal growth and development. I have to develop my
skills and be hard working. Information management helps me a lot of
things. Like using computer, you can able to communicate with others.
Maintain some information safe.
      Nursing  Assistant and Office  Administration are my careers I want
to take. It matches my interest because I want to help people who are
sick and I love to use computer. My strength as a nurse is that I have
patience, I have a good attitude, and  I care about people. My
weakness is when someone hurts my feeling. I cry a lot. I’m a good
person, a friend, a sister, and a daughter. I’m caring, loving  and
fun to be with. Image means having a good or bad self background.
Attitude means having a different personality. Theirs a bad sides and
a good sides. It will not affect my employability because I have a
good record. I’m a great person. I don’t need to worry about my
attitude because I’m good influence. I need to work on communication
skills and verbal skills. So my friend can fully understand me.
      Resume is really important reference because it helps the employer to
know all the information they need, like education background, work
experience, skills, and any languages you know. It is also important
to know what’s your strength and weaknesses, what you can and can’t
do. Resumes tell an employer a great deal about you. Where you have
been, where you are and where you are headed resume is the first
meeting between you and a prospective employer more often now than
ever. The website helps me to find a job, give you information about
tax if you’re a tax payer. And also it is helping for poor people who
don’t have shelter, money, and food.  It will help people to have a
work or job. The three that I utilize is job and training, payroll
taxes and disability. The example of the search engines are bing,
Wikipedia  and my web search. Opening from caljobs.ca.gov is that
giving you information about employment base on your trade. The
interview strategies are be confident don’t be nervous, look forward
to the interviewer and  show what you got. Telephone interview do not
increase the error rates or fraud. Telephone interview and
face-to-face are similar. Because they will gather the same
information and take the same action as for a phone interview as
during a face-to-face interview. And  it may seem that technology
would make the phone interview process easier, it is clear that it is
not necessary and the experiences across the state and country have
show that this is true. The interview question about my trade is “Tell
me about your last performance review. What was mentioned about how
you could improve?”, “Describe a recent problem you had with one of
your manager’s decisions. Listen and then ask, how did you handle
it?”, and “why do you think we should hire you?”.
      Do the assignment and all the projects, make sure that it was
completed. Do the task that was given to you. You should always be
present at your class. Don’t be lazy. Show what you got. Those are the
Education and Vocational strategies that will lead you to be
successful in life. The important personal values at work are
cleanliness, discipline, friendliness, honesty, loyalty and
motivation. This is important specially we have to socialize to are co
worker. So you can be friends . The seven habits of highly effective
people that will apply to me is “Seek First to Understand, Then to be
Understood”, “Put First Things First”, “Be Proactive”. Those
strategies, values, habits and data will help me on how will I be a
successful in life, to have a friends, to be intelligent to others, to
communicate and to be comfortable to each and everyone.
      I will show what I can do, to be matured and be independent living.
The three employability is to be hard working person, give your best
shot, and be respectful. I learned to be confident, respectful and
patience in order to have a successful career. Personality test is to
identify your attitude, how do you interact to others, how do you
handle your problems and how do you care for yourself. In my trade,
information technology is useful. Because we do researches like
getting some information about sick person, how’s their feeling and
etc. And we use computer to save some files about the patient. I
learned in class is that information technology is very important
thing in real life.
