Becoming a Woman

About a young girl growing into womanhood
Just yesterday I was a little girl,
today I’m feeling strange.
My period came, I’m growing hair,
everything has changed.

My body’s different, out of control,
I think I grew some breasts.
They weren’t like this yesterday,
I can finally fill out my dress.

My underarms have hair as well,
just enough to know they’re there.
My hormones are sure raging fast,
and men are starting to stare.

My childhood days are numbered now,
it’s only a matter of time.
I’m going to be one hot woman,
I can already see the signs.

So goodbye my child, hello woman,
today is my lucky day.
Even though I’m in transition,
I am definitely on my way.
