The Universal Language
A funeral I went to today inspired this short poem

I don't speak your language,
But I understand you clearly.
Mourning always tends to sound the same.
Your tears transcend the barriers that seperate us,
Uniting us as victims of the same fate.

Tomorrow is guaranteed to neither of us
And in Sheol we shall mutually rest.
There we shall learn the universal language
One of somber silence.
