Persian:  Gercheh khoobaan zay meh fazoon baashand
              Paish e aan maah e mun zaboon baashand
Urdu:      Gercheh meh say butaan fazoon haen sub
              Meh kay aagay meray zaboon haen sub

English:=== She is slim, and trim, and smart, and tall
                  My doll is prettier than any other doll
                                          -

Persian:  Murdumaanay keh roo e o deedand
              Ta babaashand sarnagoon baashand
Urdu:      Daekh ker naaz e husn o raanaaie
              Meer o sardaar sarnagoon haen sub

English:=== So when they see her beauty and grace
                  Even kings and princes feel small and base
                                            -

Persian:  Aey dil e khoongarifta ishq mabaaz
              Keh butaan tishnagaan e khoon baashand
Urdu:      Aey dil e khoongarifta, reh buch ker
              Yeh butaan tishnagaan e khoon haen sub

English:=== But she is a siren, a nymph indeed
                  And she wants your heart to bleed and bleed
                                              -

Persian:  Aafiat ra ba khaab meejooyand
              Dardmandaan keh baisakoon baashand
Urdu:      Maikaday maen panaah laetay haen
              Dardmandaan keh baisakoon haen sub

English:=== And when she sips the ruby wine
                  She becomes a goddess and looks divine
                                              -

Persian:  Aql dard e sar ast, zeen maani
              Aarifaan aashiq e janoon baashand
Urdu:      Aql un kay liay hay baimaani
              Aarifaan aashiq e junoon haen sub

English:=== And when to dance her robe she sheds
                  Even sheiks and mystics, they lose their heads
                                                -

Persian:  Ishqbaazi zay KHUSRO aamozand
              Laila o majnoon ar kunoon baashand
Urdu:      Sun kay aatay tamaashbeen KHUSRO
              Daekhnay ko tera junoon haen sub

English:=== But someday, I hope, she will discover
                  That like her KHUSRO there is no lover
