You came down from the heavens
Walked this earth beside us Not because you had to But out of love You owed this world nothing Yet, you gave us everything We hung you on that cross Out of fear and anger In return we got not condemnation But the gift of forgiveness And the promise of eternal life As I picture you hanging there Dying for our mistake, our sins I think about how many Don't know you or your story How could they not know About your sacrifice, your promises How could they not know your love How could they not know That you are the Messiah, The Prince of Peace, Lord of Lords, The Alpha and The Omega How could they not know That you are everything they need? 5-3-04
