Your word says sin waits at my doorstep.
In this world, it is hard to stay away. Self-control is needed, especially in a place where sin runs rampant. I read your word, listen to your praises, and count my blessings. I stay away from the sins of this world, that await to devour me and control my life. I flee evil where I can and face it with your armor. I wear it with pride, knowing you are there to protect me and guide me through the storms. I will withstand wickedness and turn to you for everything. I will praise you through the trials. Sin will not consume me. Because your resurrection is your promise.
