Breathing Together
by Morrie
Rated: E | Poetry | Nonsense | #1794127
Note that "poetry" is used loosely. I'm not sure what this is. I needed something, though.
I want to spend hours with you
Contemplating nothing
But the existence of a leaf.

I want to sit on the couch
With the television off
And do nothing but talk.

I want to take one end of the subject
And I want you to take the other.
And I want to pull and tug
Like we’re a couple of boxer pups
And it’s a new rope.

I want to say something ridiculous
Just so that you can smile
And build on it
Until somehow, it seems plausible.

I want to bury my toes in the sand
Whilst you bury yours
And have them meet somewhere underneath.

I want to breathe
And to hear you breathe
I want to breathe together.
