Haunted by Creation
A dark piece about what may happen when we embrace the dark place in our mind.

Sparse of tangled hair with webs of feet,

stalking, stalking as I soundly sleep.

Slithering, slurping your hunger sings.

In silent ears haunting terror rings.

Broken bones protrude, eyes much too wide,

seek my innocent mind to reside,

leaving traces of blood, smell of decay.

Pry open mind, there’s no other way.

Contorted, disfigured come for me,

product of my mind, my enemy.

Hissing, hacking you seek the pure soul,

domination your ultimate goal.

Look away, yet the vision remains.

Hideous evils traverse my veins.

Creation of my own, no escape;

My life and spirit, you’ve come to rape.

“Monstrous Creature, I beg, set me free!

Release me from the horror I see!”

“You must live with what you create;

your demonic vision’s sealed your fate.”
