Because I am not a rose
I am banished From the garden Though I stretch green arms And open fine petals to the morning sun, Whenever I try to grow Beside the path Or peek out among the lilies I am plucked out, Cast aside- There is no place For wildflower dreams When all they can see Is a weed.
