In lieu of structured bravery,
A life so doomed to slavery, Quite unspoken for and unsavory, Like Andy Griffith’s Mayberry... Though we may never splurge Without the guilt, the courage To stand tall and not disparage Is meant for the future surge! Quite apropos, the knowledge, But till we jump the ledge, Our bets we'll likely hedge, As our pets poo-poo the edge! But the echo of our screams Must not challenge us like schemes But instead, like golden beams, Because we can live our dreams...
