The reason I hate writing a sonnet: One thing for sure, it’s too complicated. Each line in each stanza must aim to get Good rhymes, to get the ending connected. Like ‘link’ rhymes similar to ‘wink’ and ‘blink’, And ‘apple’ similar to ‘example’. A sonnet’s also worse than limericks, For it has fourteen lines in principle. Limericks rhyme two A, two B, then A; But sonnets lead to higher confusion. No matter you are using English way Or Petrarchan, you’ll still find frustration. Yet, though a sonnet makes me want to kill, I love irony; thus I learn its skill. NOTE: Let me tell you what is ironic. After writing this, I fell in love with poetry.
