Erroneous

With a dedicated will and courage,
In silence the burden of your cross I bear.
For fear possessed your senses like phage,
We failed for you could never ever dare.

Now with time I have got to know you’re kind,
The lies that came easy were an effort to hide,
Yourself and intentions in hope I should never find,
In disguise a selfishness and fear by your side.

You put forth many of those lame excuses,
Unreasonable conditions, now and then.
Had I known it is a wicked heart that seduces,
I would have saved my own, knowing where and when?

You did “Thank” me for my kindness,
And for being there, in your times of need.
Just words no depth or meaning and in my blindness,
I overlooked a truth, the motivation of wilful greed.

Hope you find your peace and forgiveness,
With time know the effect of your hurtful deeds,
Your words were disrespectful and hard driven,
Now it is for “The Truth” that my heart bleeds.
