Fall From Grace
You have fallen once again One more time the pain. The return of regret. And so, once again, why? Dare I try to understand, The choices that you make? Could a window inside your mind Allow it to make sense. Your ups are all endearing Provide a wealth of security. Then the downs return, Breaking us into pieces. I can not guess what you feel When you start the cycle of choice. Is it the high, the rush, the excitement? That captivates your very soul. Do you ever weigh the results? The wheel of fate keeps turning And through it all your sight grows dim Once again the jump for the tarnished ring. Can time heal the fracture, If that is even possible? Only the passage of years Can give your soul a voice. Listen my dear boy Hear what you need to know. Let your conscience fill you Don’t be a part of the herd.
