I always thought that my curiosity was a plus in my nature; it led me to seek out new things, to try different things. It got me my job here at Suneagle mansions, helped me keep that job, as I managed to ferret out information my lord found useful. It was therefore a shock to find that this coin had a reverse side. I type this from a place, I hope, of safety. For my life and perhaps, more importantly, my soul are in grave danger.

I should start at the beginning, you may at least learn from this…if any get to read this at all, they are taking over everything…including the power. I must hurry. I hear them at the door. I have very little time.

I work as I said at Suneagle mansion. On hearing the doorbell ring, naturally I went to open the door. A man stood there with a tray of miniatures, they looked fine but the price was more than the monthly allowance for such things…my lord insisted we buy something from these sellers, but I digress. I told the seller that he would have to come back next week, booked him an appointment. He insisted on leaving his models with us, so my lord could observe them himself and be better disposed to buying them. He said they were magical, that they would change our lives, and yes, to my disgrace, my curiosity overrode my common sense and I agreed.

Oh they were magical alright, or cursed, either way they came to life at midnight. At first it was funny, then we squashed one that had sunk it’s tiny weapon into the cook. The one became three, the tiny wound turned black. Time is up, they are here…
