My Friend

It has been awhile since our eyes have met.
But, by no means have I forgotten you yet.
You were my best friend for a very long time.
If I'd see you again it would please me fine.

My thoughts of you have been on my mind.
I remember experiences of yours and mine.
I've missed you a lot since you've been gone.
Come back soon don't you stay away to long.

I will be right here waiting to see you again.
To give you my friendship and love my friend.
Things would be right and please my heart.
Go back to yesterday and make a new start.
