JUST PAUL AT FOUR

Let me tell you about Paul.  He is 45 pounds of unharnessed energy.
His smile can warm your heart as quickly as his fierce anger can break it.
And it can all happen in five minutes.

When Paul needs you your day is complete.  When he is done with you
he will set you aside and move on quickly to a better place leaving you
breathless.

He has the strength of a small sumo wrestler, yet he can show a gentility
when someone he cares about is in trouble.

Paul’s food needs are few.  It is very unimportant to him, unless it is one of his
dreaded treats, then he will trip over his feet to get at it.

He cares not how he looks on any given day but his look is always perfect.
Clothes just look better on him, even when the fit is not right, it just always works
for Paul.

If you catch him with a tear in his eye, as rare as that may be, you must never
comfort him till he is ready.  He dares not let you see he is sad. His yell will
hurt your ears and his whisper can make you cry.

His laughter is heartfelt and most contagious.  He can transform a room or a person
with his glee and his little man antics.

I would not trade one of his baby sweet kisses or one of his bear hugs for all the
stars in the galaxy.  He fills my heart with a joy and is a constant reminder of
just how good life can get.
