Author's Note to Luis:

Hello , Luis !
I really wanted to write this earlier but my health did not permit me as I was terribly sick with pain and agonizing moments for  the past weeks or  month or more now. As soon as your
Grandad LITO came home from your place he immediately told me to use the computer and to disregard all the discomforts that I am  feeling nowadays.

Well, it is not easy, but this helps to ease the pain and everything. I know that everyone close
to my heart is praying for my quick recovery,  and my grateful heart sings.

GOD BLESS YOU, my DEAREST LUIS...

================= ==================================================

July 04, 2011, A Monday, at 12:17 Past after Noon-Time,  I saw you being carried by the Pediatrician, out from the Operating Room, where your mother, Atty. Mary Catherine Abenido
Alvarez- del Rosario, gave birth to you through Caesarian Operation.

Tears of joy were freely flowing from my eyes, and your Daddy Nasvin and Grandad Lito were
both misty-eyed as they got ready with their cameras as we were lining-up at the huge glass
window of the nursery room where you being cleaned and clothed by the waiting nurses on duty.

SOOOOOOO CUTE!  SO GUAPO ! was everyone's comment.

OH, Luis, you did give everyone a hard time, that included your dearest mother of course, our restlessness, all your three doctors and all the hospital staff that were involved to  welcome you into this world.

All in one,  replaced with true joy and happiness as soon as we heard you crying on the way to
the Nursery.

We admitted your mother at the Cebu Doctor's Hospital on July 2,  right after lunch supposed to be for a normal delivery.. July 2 was gone, July 3 was over, and in the morning of July 4, your
mother's Obstetrician called us up  that they all decided to have the Caesarian delivery.
We told the doctors to do it as soon as possible and do the best they can. Then I ran to the next floor where the Chapel was, and kneeled down, crying, praying as if I never prayed before.  I came down  and sat at  the vacant chair between your Daddy and your Grandad waiting for you.

Your mother was still on recovery for more hours so while waiting for her to be placed in her room we all stayed at the nursery enjoying your presence.

The doctors explained to us why the operation has to be done. Luis is a cord-coil baby tied in his neck and Cathy's blood pressure always rising up, I told the doctors "Thank you for your
decision." Then the doctor explained that something horrible happened at the Operating Room.
As they put on the  wire where the Oxygen works, it burns and the room was full of smoke. Cathy, half awaked by the general anaesthesia which was just injected smelled the smoke and prayed, "LORD, PLEASE HELP ME AND MY BABY." Whew ! The doctor said one nurse was very quick to pull it outand replaced it with a new one, and the said  and the doctors in chorus said that the HOLY SPIRIT were watching them. PRAISE GOD !

Luis ,  at 6.4 lbs. your measured 46 cm. Very tall, like your daddy who is a six footer and what everybody asked when they looked at you at the Nursery,"Are the parents of this kid, Europeans or Americans or foreigners", because you have a very fair skin. We replied with a smile.

A week after your birth, we brought you home in your parents place in Cebu City.  August 1 , I got very sick and decided to come home here in Panagsama where the whole family can attend to me, my brothers, sisters and parents. Your Grandad has to be with you and your mother because your Daddy is on a promotion as an Area Manager in Bacolod City.

Yesterday, the three of you, your dad and your Mom, arrived in Bacolod for a new residence and your mother called that you behaved so well.. On September 4, you will be two months and a week ago they told me you already weighed 5 kilos.

GOD is healing me slowly but surely and I will see you again, Dearest Luis.
