The Light of the World
A poem I wrote from Romans 13;15. "May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace" |
As it says in the book of Romans, there’s the “Power of the Holy Spirit” God will fill you with joy and peace and life’s troubles you’ll never fear it. As long as you always trust in our heavenly father, your faith will increase By leaps and bounds you'll ponder your relationships that gives you peace. While you kneel at your bedside to pray, your soul will overflow with hope, With life’s trials and tribulations, you'll feel strong enough and learn to cope. People throughout this world know that God is our foundation of love, Seek and you shall find much happiness while catching sight of a white dove Flying in the skies above us and wishing to build a staircase to heaven, But in the book of the bible, God’s word says that is strictly forbidden. So you sit on the mountaintop, watching the fire's embers die in the night, Looking at the starlit heavens, knowing too soon it will become light. Are we prepared to fight the good fight, to pray for the many sinners That inhabit these many towns, cities and states, hoping to be a winner. God made a way for people to unite, in churches, synagogues, in prayer Sharing the well-meaning scriptures and together we shall declare God is our hope, filled with joy and peace, so trust in him always my friend, Be fulfilled with the Holy Spirit until your time is up to join him again. 18 lines |
